„Vivaldi – Venice – Violin“

A “Concert Lecture” centring around the Venetian composer Antonio Vivaldi. Under the overall artistic guidance of Gerd Müller-Lorenz who could also be heard on the harpsichord, the AOIDE Strings Chamber Ensemble played some of Vivaldi’s most beautiful pieces. The solo part was taken over by Angela Jaffé of the Hanover State Orchestra of Lower Saxony. Franz Rainer Enste, well-known for his sensitive biographical portraits of a number of composers, presented the moving story of Antonio Vivaldi’s life. Manfred Zimmermann, a photographer distinguished with numerous awards, contributed some spectacular photographic impressions of Venice, always in perfect harmony with lecture and music, thus turning the evening into a virtual treat, acoustically as well as visually.
