In January 2019, Continental Tires Division invited more than 400 senior executives to Event Hall 19 on the exhibition grounds for its annual conference. „European Landscapes“ was the multi-faceted motto, which our AOIDE Symphony orchestra under the direction of Gerd Müller-Lorenz complied with musicians from 14 European countries.
We followed the European idea thematically with our musical performance. Our orchestra played excerpts from the Spanish opera Carmen by French composer Georges Bizet, The Moldau/Vltava by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana and accompanied German composer Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy on his sea voyage to Scotland with the Symphony No. 3 in a minor op.56. All in all a vibrant and motivating piece of Europe.
